Part One: Visa

Before you come to the Center for High Energy Physics, Peking University, you will come across the visa problem. As far as we know, a tourist visa is the easiest type to apply for. If you do need a visa of any other types, the Center may provide you an invitation letter. The process of visa application may take some time, depending on the particular type of visa you apply for. Transportation from Beijing Airport to CHEP:

By taxi: You can get a taxi right outside the arrival terminals. It is about 30 km from the airport to PKU. The fare is about 15USD. If you take the Taxi, you may show the following tag to the taxi driver.

Part Three: Accommodation

We will assist you to make hotel reservation during your visiting period. We strongly recommend you to schedule your visit as early as possible and fill in the registration form throughVisitor’s Form of Center for High Energy Physics, Peking Universitywith your exact arrival and departure date for hotel reservation. During your visiting period, The prior choice of hotel is ZHONGGUANXINYUAN GLOBAL VILLAGE, PKU（北京大学中关新园), which is very near our center and the rate is 320rmb/per day(breakfast included). Part Four: Working Environment

This part contains information pertaining to the CHEP that we hope will be helpful to you during your stay. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our operation. Thank you.

CHEP-Open/Closed

The main entrance to CHEP is located on the north side of the building; you can access CHEP seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Please note that the office time is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. When you arrive CHEP, please got to the 2nd floor, Room 201-6 to check-in and get your office key and door card there. Please keep your office key carefully during your stay and don’t forget to return your key to Room 201-6 before leaving CHEP. Thanks a lot!
